OVERVIEW
As an integral part of Canon Medical's Business Development team, lead the creation and implementation of inorganic growth strategic plans across the Canon Medical portfolio. Independentlylead due diligence efforts for potential partnership, out-licensing, or M&A opportunities. Interface frequently with members of the executive team and will report to Senior Manager, Business Development. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead development of inorganic growth strategies at corporate and business unit levels (including CT, MR, NM, VL, XR, UL, and HIT), using white space mapping, competitive analysis, and other strategic frameworks
  • Make recommendations to leadership team on potential partnership/M&A targets based on robust analysis of market trends and business synergies
  • Independently identify and conduct outreach to potential targets to build up business development funnel for prioritized areas of growth
  • Manage relationships with and provide project management to multiple business development initiatives across company and technology types
  • Perform detailed financial analysis of inorganic growth opportunities to guide strategic and investment decision-making
  • Drive the design of deal structures & terms and own the negotiations process with potential targets
  • Establish strong relationships with product, research, engineering, and clinical experts in the Marketing organization and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to conduct due diligence
  • Proactively monitor and analyze key M&A and alliances in the competitive landscape; create executive-facing documents and/or present insights to the leadership team
  • Support market analytics team on market intelligence, competitive intelligence, and market research activities as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
    • Experience in strategic planning, competitive intelligence, and market research
    • Expertise creating PowerPoint presentations and pitch decks
    • Solid foundation in financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation analyses
    • Interest and/or experience in the healthcare industry
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Expertise in project management and ability to lead multiple simultaneous priorities REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
      • 5 years experience in business/corporate development or 3-5 years of experience in management consulting/investment banking and a Master's degree. REQUIRED EDUCATION
        • BA degree in Finance or Science-related field
        • Graduated degree preferred
