Job Description:

OVERVIEWCanon Medical Systems is currently seeking a Director of National Sales Training and Programs to--direct a cross functional effort to develop and implement national sales programs and a national sales training curriculum to support the company's overall sales objectives. This includes leading a collaborative effort with all business units, sales management and service to produce impactful programs along with coordinated field development to maximize sales effort.RESPONSIBILITIESDirects the development and Deployment of the Sales Training and Programs strategy for the U.S. Market.Directs sales development strategy in collaboration with each of the eight sales zones and contracted dealer/agents. This includes routine travel to the zones with direct interaction with the zone sales teams.Determine training needs for both Full Line and Ultrasound Sales organizations. Direct sales training and development plans and programs to meet the identified needs. Direct the operation of the Full Line Sales and Ultrasound training program within the budget framework.Directs the development and coordination of sales training materials working with Business Unit directors and managers, content specialists, including selection of appropriate deployment methods or procedures.Formulates sales training policies and programs based on knowledge of identified training needs, company process, business requirements or changes in products, market conditions or services.Develops measurement criteria to ensure the quality of the sales training programs and results meets expectations of the organization.Stays abreast of trends and developments in the training field, techniques of competitors, market tools and new approaches to insure that CMSU remains competitive and operates from a cost effective standpoint.Advises and consults with Business Unit Directors on industry and competitive trends to ensure national sales programs and training address evolving needs.Directs third party sales training partners to include selection, communication, contract negotiations and performance evaluations.Directs the design, presentation and execution of all sales training programs.Directs the management and the administration of electronic learning management system and training records for over 200 sales individuals.Researches new sales development practices and develops proposals to aid executive sales management in exploring new training methods and approaches to maximize impact and cost containment.Directs and facilitates special sales task forces or strategic sales planning sessions.Directs the development of tools and infrastructure for the creation of customer specific market and equipment utilization analysis reports and incorporates this information into national sales program strategies. Tailors the account executive and zone business manager training on how to best present gathered information in the form of a customer strategy discussion.Responsible for establishing a forum for the sales force to regularly share best practices and positive outcomes.Works collaboratively with the business units to develop a sales training platform as part of the modality marketing messages, creating a value add to prospective Canon customers.QUALIFICATIONSStrategic thinker, proven track record of driving significant revenue results in diagnostic imaging sales environment.Director-Level Sales or Marketing Management experience, leading large high-performing organizations.Recognized industry presence and significant senior level contacts in the diagnostic imaging industry.Business and analytical skills to oversee financial and administrative areas including sales training administration, financial reporting, planning and budgeting, etc.Deep cross-functional knowledge and experience with all operations within sales.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute training programs to support short and long-term sales strategies.Good knowledge of management practices and organizational behavior.Extensive experience in curriculum development and knowledge of adult learning, training and development theories and techniques.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Analytical ability in order to perform cost-benefit analysis of training programs and formulating/interpreting needs analysis surveys.Ability to interface professionally and confidently with executive senior management.Excellent leadership and collaboration skills required.4 Year / Bachelor''s Degree10 years Diagnostic imaging preferred, including 2 years sales experience.#LI-CN1About usCanon Medical Systems USA, Inc., a world leader in diagnostic imaging, is in search of qualified candidates to fill our open positions.
