2-3x per week. Job Summary
- The Compensation Specialist is responsible for the
administration of the Virgin Galactic compensation programs, which
includes base salary, short-term and long-term incentive
plans.Responsibilities
- Conducts job evaluations and assesses external market data and
internal equity to provide salary and incentive
recommendations.
- Participates in external salary surveys to assess market
competitiveness and trends.
- Executes the administration of the annual focal review cycle,
including merit/bonus payments.
- Provides recommendations for merit budget and salary structure
movement.
- Maintains the survey database (MarketPay) utilized for market
pricing all positions.
- Manages job descriptions and reevaluates market pricing as
needed based on updates.
- Creates and maintains a compensation guide for managers that
articulates the compensation philosophy and process for requesting
job evaluations and salary adjustments.
- Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and
compensation analysis information.
- Performs periodic departmental reviews of market
competitiveness.
- Processes compensation actions which may include pay
adjustments, promotion memos, and bonus letters, term sheets, offer
letters.
- Update employee personnel files with compensation decisions,
including filing pay adjustments, equity grants, promotion memos,
bonus letters, etc.
- Participates in special compensation/HRIS projects, as
assigned.What You BringBasic Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of Compensation experience required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business is
preferred
- Experience with analyzing external compensation surveys
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and excellent
attention to detail
- Excellent MS Excel experience
- Ability to independently analyze and solve problems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability
to interact effectively with all levels in the organization. ITAR
