Job Description Design West Technologies Inc. of Tustin, CA has an immediate need for a full-time Welder (1st shift) . The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabrication equipment to produce high quality and quantity parts in an efficient manner with minimal supervision. JOB DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS: Perform all types of TIG/MIG welding with 3 years of experience, robotic welding experience is a plus. Perform welding operations on components to meet NDT specifications and ensure efficient flow of work to meet production schedules and demands. Knowledge of AWS and ability to weld to standard required. Perform welding operations on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel, following standardized working procedures and parameters. Inspect weld for bead sized and compliance with other specifications. Blend, grind, or polish weld ensuring specified minimum wall requirement is met. Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to measure part and ensure dimensional requirements are met as needed. Complete production paperwork. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machines. In addition to welding, cross training will be required to perform a variety of duties that may include but not limited to: grit blasting, fabrication, and other duties. Detect faulty operations and materials and report these and other problems to immediate supervisor. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required. Provide training to others as required. Ability to read and write required. Ability to read and interpret weld assembly drawings required Ability to lift up to 30lbs, stand, bend and reach Hand eye coordination and dexterity. Able to utilize basic hand and power tools such as manual grinders and fabrication tools.
