Description ******Unless specifically contracted, resumes from recruiting agencies are not being accepted for this position.****** We are currently seeking an ambitious, highly motivated corporate paralegal to join our Legal Department located in Jericho, New York . Individual will be responsible for handling corporate matters and will work closely with our General Counsel, Vice President Legal and Corporate Transaction Manager, other members of the Legal Department and various departments throughout the company. Scope of Responsibilities: + Support for all aspects of Corporate related matters within the Legal Department of a public company and REIT. + Form and maintain various business entities including corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies. + Draft and prepare officer certificates, consents, resolutions, minutes, and related basic corporate and real estate documents. + Routinely consult with and support members of the Legal Department, other departments throughout the company, senior executives and outside counsel. + Responsible for general corporate housekeeping, maintaining corporate records (including corporate kits). + Assist with capital market transactions with corporate counsel. Requirements+ Minimum of 3 years corporate paralegal experience with an in-house legal department or law firm. + Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. + Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. + Prior commercial real estate experience a plus. + Public company/REIT experience a plus. + Demonstrated PC skills with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook), as well as the ability to learn and use proprietary computer systems and databases. Experience with Salesforce, hCue, DocuSign, document management systems and standard videoconferencing applications a plus.
