A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Embedded Software Engineer

Position Type: Full Time (Contract)
Duration: 12 months
Location: Northridge, CA
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will:Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the current needs and priorities of the project. Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, including customers, management, and other departments.
Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine the product requirements.
- Sprint Planning and Review: Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the product backlog items and their priorities.
Review completed work to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria and provides the desired value.
Technical Guidance: Leverage technical expertise to provide guidance and insights to the development team, ensuring that technical decisions align with the product vision.
Help resolve technical challenges and support the team in implementing solutions efficiently.
Promote a collaborative environment between different disciplines and organizations resulting in teams that can effectively solve problems as the arise and proactively prevent things from becoming issues.


The ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
Experience in embedded real-time software development, with a focus on embedded C++ and VxWorks.
Product Owner or similar role experience with responsibilities for product vision, backlog management, and stakeholder communication using Agile methodologies and practices, including Scrum or Kanban
Proficiency in using Jira for tracking tickets, managing the product backlog, and facilitating Agile workflows.
Experience with other project management and collaboration tools
Current US Government Secret Security clearance adjudicated within the past 5 years

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $36 to $46 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
