We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Labor Relations Director to spearhead strategic initiatives for our South Division, covering all California ministries. In this role, you’ll shape labor relations strategy, support collective bargaining and contract administration, craft and implement positive employee relations plans, drive campaign strategy during union organizing efforts, and lead a high-performing team. Based in Irvine, CA, with travel required. What You’ll Do? Strategic Leader: Provide leadership and direction on labor relations services aligned with our strategic priorities and organizational goals. Trend Analyst: Proactively identify labor relations trends, interpreting and reporting on labor activity to inform strategic actions. Subject Matter Expert: Advise leaders and HR professionals on labor issues, using your expertise to guide decision-making. Communication Innovator: Develop and implement labor-related communications, union campaigns and training programs for core leaders. Experience Enhancer: Craft strategies to improve caregiver and core leader experiences within the organization. Team Builder: Lead and develop a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, and succession planning. Metrics Analyst: Use measurements to predict needs and ensure strategies are aligned with organizational objectives. Mission Integrator: Embed the organization’s mission throughout the labor relations process. What You’ll Bring? Educational Background: Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Relations, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred. Experience: 8 years in leadership roles within a labor environment and 10 years in large, complex, multi-location organizations. Healthcare experience preferred. Strategic Expertise: Proven ability to achieve strategic initiatives, enhance retention, and reduce turnover through effective HR partnerships. Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication, presentation, and training skills. Legal Acumen: Thorough understanding of employment and labor laws, negotiations and strategic HR projects. Change Management: Skillful in adjusting to dynamic environments and managing effective organizational change. Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidates placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
