(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Providing specific patient
care and performing unit support activities within the operating
room suite, this role focuses on maintaining high standards of
patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient surgical
support. Location: El Cajon, CA Responsibilities: Adhere
consistently to healthcare practices, policies, and ethical
standards related to attendance and patient safety. Complete and
maintain all required regulatory credentials and mandatory training
within designated timelines. Deliver quality care by anticipating
procedural needs before and during surgeries, including assisting
with dressings and cast applications post-procedure. Prepare cases
following physician preference cards independently and reliably.
Document and communicate critical information such as instrument
counts and report any discrepancies. Maintain accountability for
complete instrumental trays and update surgeon preference cards
according to specific processes. Take initiative in problem-solving
to support departmental objectives and enhance quality of care. Be
open to working additional or alternative shifts as requested. Take
responsibility for at least one departmental task beyond routine
duties. Provide written recommendations for process improvements or
cost containment. Engage in teaching activities as appropriate.
Qualifications/Desired Experience: Licensed and certified
Registered Nurse with Operating Room Technician (ORT) skills.
Proven knowledge of operating room procedures and ability to
anticipate surgical needs. Strong compliance with regulatory and
safety requirements. Ability to accurately document and communicate
vital surgical information. Self-motivated with the ability to
operate independently without direct supervision. Effective
problem-solving and communication skills. About the Location: El
