We are a reputable pain management and surgery practice located in Laguna Hills and we are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a *Medical Assistant*, you will play a critical role in our patient care by providing top-notch support to our healthcare providers and ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

*Here's what we're offering for our Medical Assistant opening:*

* *Location:* Laguna Hills, CA
* *Pay:* $20-$23 per hour, depending on experience
* *Schedule: *Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

*Responsibilities for our Medical Assistant include:*

* Greet patients and prepare them for their appointment with the doctor.
* Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring they are comfortable and informed of the process.
* Measure and record patient's vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
* Record patient's chief complaint or reason for the visit.
* Enter patient's demographic information, including name, address, phone number, and insurance information into the electronic medical record (EMR).
* Conduct initial screenings of patients to determine their overall health status, including medical history, medications, allergies, and other pertinent information.
* Assist the physician during procedures, including preparing instruments and equipment, and providing necessary supplies.
* Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment, as required.

*The ideal Medical Assistant candidate will have:*

* At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably has experience in Prior Authorizations, along with CURES and CoverMyMeds
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume patient environment
* Experience with electronic health records (EHRs), preferably NextGen
* Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
