Salary: $83K - $108K Summary: The Regional Manager role at LAEDC
represents the intersection of LAEDC's on-the-ground support to
LA's businesses and connection to LA's overall economic ecosystem.
The Regional Manager does this by engaging with LA's economic
stakeholders and community to understand regional needs, conducting
outreach with local businesses, delivering 1:1 advisory services to
small businesses, completing well-documented deliverables, and
leveling up on-the-ground trends to overall economic themes and
needs. A successful Regional Manager is able to demonstrate strong
inter-personal skills in engaging with community stakeholders
across business, government, and non-profit entities,
problem-solving commitment to support 1:1 businesses' needs, and
reliable project management to document efforts and advisory for
institutional learning, compliance, and capacity-building. Business
Solutions is the arm of LAEDC that supports small businesses across
a range of business sizes and readiness to meet their capital,
market access, workforce, permitting, resilience, and know-how
needs. This is achieved through both direct service delivery and
systems solutions by engaging the broader ecosystem of small
business services to deploy solutions at scale. Direct service
solutions include technical assistance, counseling, and training,
and systems-based solutions include toolkits, train-the-trainer,
county-wide consortia coordination, and ecosystem
capacity-building. The solutions are developed and adapted for
small businesses of varying sizes, industries, and stages of
readiness, particularly for accessing capital, permits, and
markets. Duties: The Regional Manager will lead their own project
of direct services, contribute to those of other Regional Managers,
and contribute to organizational capacity-building to better serve
businesses: Business Solutions Team Direct Service - Technical
Business Assistance : Provide 1:1 strategic assistance to
businesses seeking to establish, grow, and/or recover in Los
Angeles County covering resources including but not limited to
capital access, workforce, permitting, cost management, business
planning, market access, digital access, and/or resilience Direct
Service - Deliverables : Translate 1:1 assistance into deliverables
to demonstrate impact, build institutional capacity, and comply
with contract requirements Business Outreach : Manage a pipeline of
small business clients to provide 1:1 assistance by being active in
community events and building relationships with relevant
associations, community groups, and economic development
stakeholders Customer Satisfaction : Deliver on 1:1 consultations
in a customer-focused manner resulting in positive customer
satisfaction Stakeholder Outreach : Represent LAEDC by building and
managing relevant relationships with local economic development
partners, government agencies, associations, and partner
organizations Project Management : Manage workflow independently
through strong organization skills to manage and consistently
report out outreach efforts, consultation progress and results,
deliverables' completion, and compliance documentation requirements
Systems Solutions : Translate needs and themes noticing in 1:1
engagements to overarching themes to then develop repeatable
solutions Problem-solving : Exhibit problem-solving skills by
independently identifying problems and developing proposals for
solutions Team Player: Contribute to a positive team environment of
capacity-building, learning, collaboration, respect, and commitment
to high quality and positive impact Organizational Alignment with
Organizational Goals : Align activities with LAEDC's mission,
objectives, and strategic plan and participate in additional duties

date on occurrence within LA County's economic development

learning about continuously emerging business resources across a
range of technicality Qualifications: Team player motivated by
problem solving and delivering excellence for LA County's small
businesses, robust team communication and operations, effective
stakeholder engagement, and comfort in learning new small business
and economic development concepts Requirements Professional
Experience : 5 years of experience, with majority in small
business, economic development, contracting, and/or business
advisory Self-Starter : Experience proactively managing workload,
time, and priorities while communicating updates with a team
virtually and/or in-person Customer Service : Experience in a
client-facing role that entailed engaging 1:1 to provide support
Stakeholder Experience : Experience engaging with stakeholders in
government, community-based organizations, and the community
Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel,
PowerPoint) and project management tools Learning Mindset : Skilled
in responding to and providing feedback, coaching, and learning
opportunities all within a fast-paced environment Mission Alignment

or related field or work experience equivalent Preferred Experience
: Direct experience with small business capital access,
contracting, and/or permitting Language : Proficiency in Spanish,
Chinese, Tagalog, Korean, and/or Armenian Network : Strong economic
development and/or industry network across Los Angeles region The

Work Environment: This position will operate in a hybrid schedule.
The employee will base work from the DTLA office 40% of the work
week and additional time as needed with the option to work remotely
on the remaining time. The organization will continue to assess the
hybrid environment and adjust to meet programmatic needs
accordingly. This position will require employee to visit
businesses in various regions of LA County. Travel within the
county will be required 60% of the week. The characteristics
