This is how we continue to grow, and it is an approach that has proven to generate positive returns for our investors and shareholders.Job DescriptionAs a key member of the Accounting Management team, the Vice President will assume a senior role in the overall management of the company's finance and accounting functions. Oversee the company's management reporting and joint venture reporting, as well as play a key role in assisting in systems implementations, financial and managerial accounting, maintaining internal controls, and assistance with budgeting and forecasting as well as regulatory reporting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. - Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.--- Oversee timely and accurate preparation of management reports as well as investor reports including variance analysis summarized. This role also takes a leading role of presenting such reports and summaries to senior management.--- Lead a team of 10-15 covering property financial reporting, key performance indicators, and ad hoc analysis, where needed; provide coaching, mentorship, and training to raise competency and improve quality of deliverables. Lead to create a collaborative culture and promote growth opportunities within the team.--- Supports all acquisition and disposition activity including involvement in the integration of new acquisitions software within existing systems.--- Promote, model, and strengthen a culture of service excellence, with a focus on timely responsiveness and accuracy. ---- Ensure that financial transactions, policies and procedures meet corporate short and long-term objectives and all regulatory requirements.--- Partner at all levels of the organization to develop, implement, and execute initiatives to deliver best-in-class financial analysis and metrics which inform key stakeholder decision making to ensure appropriate balance of cost to benefit.--- Build and promote adherence to company-wide standards and approaches in areas such as capital budgeting, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting and financial reporting.--- Facilitate adequate financial and non-financial controls; leverage modern technology solutions in the accumulation, analysis, interpretation and distribution of financial information through the implementation of dashboard reporting through a business intelligence tool. -Qualifications:--- Strong management skills.--- Demonstrated experience in building, restructuring and/or implementing accounting function, including its organizational structure, policies, processes and systems.--- Possesses a good appreciation for and experience in the deployment of modern information technology solutions in the front and back office of an enterprise.--- A high integrity individual with impeccable ethics in financial reporting.Requirements:--- CPA designation is a must.--- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline (MBA or advanced degree preferred).--- Twelve plus years of managerial and professional experience in the financial function of a high growth company, preferably with a real estate background.--- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Yardi is preferred.--- Excellent math and financial acumen.--- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.At Tricon Residential, we know that the best ideas happen when people bring their uniqueness to work with them.
