Job Description:
US Foods, a leading force in the foodservice distribution
industry, is seeking a skilled T3 Fleet Mechanic to maintain and
repair our fleet vehicles, ensuring operational efficiency and
reliability. This role is critical as it supports our mission of
partnering with numerous restaurants and foodservice operators
across the country. The T3 Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for
performing a range of duties including troubleshooting, repairs,
and preventive maintenance on various types of vehicles. Perform
routine vehicle maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
Troubleshoot issues to diagnose problems and determine the need for
repairs. Ensure all vehicles are kept in reliable working condition
and in compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate
records of each repair and service conducted. Use diagnostic
equipment to ensure vehicle functionality and efficiency.
Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule maintenance and
minimize downtime. Proficiency in vehicle electrical systems and
diagnostic equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and
problem-solving skills. Ability to handle physical workload and
lift heavy items. Excellent organizational skills and attention to
detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Certification
preferred. Valid driver’s license. Additional certifications in
electrical systems or diesel engine repair are a plus.
