problem-solving? We seek a mechanically minded individual looking
for an opportunity to join an efficient auto service center team!
Our successful automotive technician candidate understands vehicle
electrical and computer systems and is able to properly diagnose
and fix repairs. If you believe you are the candidate we need,
apply today! Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly Responsibilities: Help
establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs,
maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for
all of our dealerships Determine and investigate any malfunction
codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled
expertise and diagnostic tools Follow all manufacturer
specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum
customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business Conduct
routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire
rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes Examine all
vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission,
and brake systems with a step-by-step approach Perform thorough
multi-point inspections on incoming used vehicles Diagnose
mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment Conduct
repairs and maintenance, including brakes, suspension, engine,
transmission, electrical systems, and HVAC Prepare used vehicles
for resale by ensuring they meet dealership and state safety
standards Accurately document all work performed and parts used in
repair orders Collaborate with service advisors and used car
managers to prioritize repairs and meet deadlines Maintain a clean
and organized work area Adhere to all safety and environmental
guidelines Qualifications: Excellent customer service and
communications skills are necessary Completion of a certified
post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree
is ideal Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or
Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a
plus Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician,
preferably with used vehicles ASE certifications preferred (or
willingness to obtain) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record Ability
to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
environment Owning basic hand tools, the dealership or shop may
