Job Description Job Description Hiring Metal Fabricators/Sheet Metal Mechanics in Lakewood, NJ! Join our team as a Metal Fabricator supporting our metal fabrication shop. You will work on a 1st shift schedule, gaining hands-on experience with metal fabrication machinery such as presses, saws, CNC, and more. WEEKLY PAY Shift/Pay: 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm Pay Rate: $24-30/hr Description: Operate metal fabrication machinery and tools including punching, drilling, tapping, deburring, grinding, and spot welding. Inspect parts according to customer blueprints to ensure quality. Perform sheet metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and grinding metal. Utilize hand tools and measuring tools such as squares, protractors, and calipers. Operate rolling cylinders and cones to bend and form metal. Lift up to 35 lbs as needed. Qualifications/Skills: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the sheet metal or metal fabrication industry. Proficiency in press brake operation is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with hand and power tools, grinder, punch press, and drill press. Knowledge of sheet metal assembly and roll forming techniques. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
