Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to join
us as Associate Director, Global Publications within Kite Global
Medical Affairs. You will partner with internal and external
subject matter experts and investigators to execute the publication
strategy for key publication tactics including congress abstracts,
presentations, and manuscripts in Cell Therapy. You will apply good
publication practices and help lead adherence to established
publication processes and industry guidelines. This position will
report to the Senior Director, Global
Publications.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Senior Director, Global
Publications to help lead cross-functional, Global Publication
Planning Team (GPPT) strategy in alignment with early- and
late-stage subject matter experts, cross-functional teams, and
alliance partners to create strategic annual publication plans and
publish high-impact scientific and medical dataWork
cross-functionally with subject matter experts across all
data-generating functions (including, but not limited to, Clinical
Development, Biometrics, Translational Medicine, Real World
Evidence, Health Economics and Outcomes Research) to execute on
tactics consistent with inline and pipeline strategyPublications
will be in the field of cell therapy primarily in hematological
malignancies - therapeutic areas may include lymphoma, leukemia,
and multiple myelomaWork independently to prioritize, execute,
review, and edit key tactics consisting of congress abstracts and
presentations and peer-reviewed manuscriptsEstablish and maintain
effective intellectual partnerships with internal collaborators,
external scientific and medical external authors and healthcare
professionals (HCPs), and alliance partnersTravel to scientific
conferences as neededGuide and oversee publication vendors, and
manage publications budgetsBasic QualificationsAdvanced degree
(Pharm D, MD, PhD) and 2+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry
or medical communications agency experience with focus on
scientific/medical publicationsPreferred Qualifications5+ years of
experience in publications within the biotech/pharmaceutical
industry, including 2+ years in hematology/oncology and/or cell
therapyExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and
collaborative skills with individuals, groups, and senior
managementAbility to write/edit scientific manuscripts, posters,
and abstracts with a medically strategic mindsetWorking knowledge
of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Legal, and Intellectual
Property functionsAbility to lead and work across
multi-disciplinary groups and to lead decision-making
discussionsKnowledge of and compliance with all relevant guidelines
(GPP3, ICMJE), laws, industry standard best practices, and
corporate policiesAbility to work under challenging deadlines with
