to Hire) Location: Pasadena, CA Pay Range: $30.00-38.00 hourly Job
Overview Our client, a leading construction company based in
Pasadena, CA, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across
the region. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for
processing weekly payroll for a high-volume workforce of 1,000
union employees across multiple trades. Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll for 1,000 union employees with accuracy and
timeliness. Maintain compliance with all local union contracts,
prevailing wage laws, and company policies. Review and validate
employee timecards, job costing, and labor allocations. Manage and
calculate fringe benefits, dues, wage rates, and deductions per
union agreements. Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as
required. Reconcile payroll discrepancies and respond to employee
payroll inquiries. Collaborate with HR, project managers, and union
representatives regarding payroll issues. Maintain accurate
employee records within ADP Workforce Now. Assist with audits,
reporting, and year-end processes (W-2s, tax filings, etc.).
Qualifications 3 years of payroll experience in the construction
industry (union payroll required). Direct experience processing
large-volume payroll (1,000 employees). Strong proficiency in ADP
Workforce Now and/or UKG is a plus. Knowledge of labor laws, union
agreements, and prevailing wage practices. Excellent accuracy,
attention to detail, and time-management skills. Ability to work in
a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical and
problem-solving abilities. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables,
VLOOKUPs, reporting). Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour Search
