Job Description Position Overview The primary objective of this position is to provide financial leadership and business support for US Toxins, comprised of Botox Cosmetic and upcoming pipeline assets. The position is responsible for driving the financial planning and analysis related to all planning cycles (Plan, LBEs, LRP, ADS), launch assessments as well as associated analytics and supporting presentation materials for review with US AA Commercial and Finance as well as AbbVie leadership. The individual must develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the business to facilitate optimal decision making through cross-functional collaboration with various teams such as Marketing, Sales, MABI, Global Commercial Development (GCD), Field Force Operations, Incentive Compensation, Pricing, Gross-to-Net and Loyalty Programs, Commercial Finance, Operations and Customer Service. This highly visible role offers opportunities to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership in AA and Finance as well as leading a team and people development. Core Responsibilities General: Lead the US Toxins Finance team including people development. Managing direct reports to ensure an optimal level of support to the business including providing coaching and career development opportunities to sustain a high performing staff. Successfully perform all responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy. Oversee the financial deliverables for US Toxins, ensuring alignment with strategic imperatives, business goals and timelines. Craft clear narratives to support strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate guidelines. Identify key insights from data analysis, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop and drive solutions/strategies to enhance operational performance and address issues faced by the business. Financial Planning & Analysis and Reporting: Lead the US Toxins LBEs, Plan, LRP, ADS and S&OP forecasts by aligning with cross-functional stakeholders such as Commercial, Finance and Operations. Review the forecasts including analyzing forecasting trends, forecast accuracy, and the forecast proposal with various stakeholders such as Commercial and Global Operations. Oversee the preparation of Plan, LBEs, LRP, ADS and S&OP and their related supporting documentation including timely, accurate and complete preparation of all requested documents and backups for corresponding meeting reviews. Apply technical expertise to refine and enhance forecasting models, supporting strategic business decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive performance. Oversee the development of revenue targets for the sales force in coordination with the Incentive Compensation team. Compile comprehensive reports and presentations, distilling market dynamics and financial outcomes as well as present sales results and future forecasts including key opportunities and risks and providing strategic context. Ensure accurate daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly financial and management reporting for US Toxins. Compile reports for performance tracking, variance analysis including commentary of key drivers. P&L management including standard margin, OMC, OCOGS and SG&A. Oversee the SG&A, headcount and CAPEX for US Toxins. Lead investment analysis including cross-brand portfolio financial management. Financial lead for AMI training center activities. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support informed decision making. Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to address business challenges, offering strategic financial insights and solutions. Present to senior leaders in a manner that articulates the scenario, story and anticipates questions and/or concerns. Facilitate effective communication on processes, issue management and strategic rationale. Effectively lead discussions to manage group dynamics during meetings/presentations. Partner with Global Operations (e.g. Brand Operations, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP) to align supply and demand forecasts, optimizing inventory, E&O and cash flow. Assess risks and communicate and escalate issues. Work with AbbVie cross-functional teams to identify and develop mitigation plans. Coordinate with GCD and MABI to stay informed on competitor activities and market developments. Collaborate with various teams such as Gross-to-Net and Loyalty Programs, Field Force Operations, Incentive Compensation and Customer Service. Actively lead efforts to drive continuous process improvement, refining forecasting processes to enhance data analysis, efficiency and communication. Collaborate on ad-hoc analysis involving business performance issues, providing clear resolutions. Prepare reports to support earnings calls and external communications. Leads initiatives for new solutions and/or governance improvements that drive standardization and synergies for cross-functional and Commercial teams. Support ad-hoc requests, lead projects including change management and deployment of corporate initiatives. Qualifications Qualifications Requires 10 plus years of combined experience in Commercial Finance, P&L management, revenue forecasting, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, auditing and/or financial reporting. FP&A and prior pharmaceutical or consumer industry experience preferred. Bachelors degree in finance or accounting. MBA or higher education preferred. Proven leadership skills, capability to direct efforts to achieve answers and results. Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills. Ability to think creatively and strategically, identify key issues, opportunities, and value drivers to effectively translate strategic insights into appropriate forecasts to drive business decisions. Ability to understand market research to assess and quantify financial impacts of marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and competitive events. Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics to inform forecasting and solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data. Ability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment and ensure production of high quality and timely work product. Ability to gain alignment and partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across varying levels of management and influence without direct authority. Experience in working in a dynamic business environment under tight timelines and quick turnarounds to successfully achieve results/deliverables. Demonstrated self-starter that communicates actions, decisions and concerns in a timely and effective manner. Understanding of AbbVies financial policies (CFMs) as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Solid understanding of systems and automation tools such as SAP, BPC, PowerBI, excel.
