Job Description:

Looking for an ambitious Executive Financial Assistant (EFA) that can work directly with the VP of Finance in regard to all things accounting within multiple real estate based companies. This person will be a part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company's finances. They must be well versed in accounting principles and be able to work comfortably with numbers and have an extreme attention to detail. The EFA will work directly with the VP of Finance regarding all financial activities concerning the Financial Operations Department.Job DutiesReconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing informationProvide financial status information by preparing reports and completing special projectsCorrect errors by posting adjusting journal entriesMaintain ledger accounts by reconciling accounting receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortization prepaids; analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accrualsSecured financial information by completing database backups; keeping information confidentialMaintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state and local financial legal requirements.Other Projects assigned by the CFO as needed to assist with the companyQualificationsBachelors Degree in Accounting or 5 years of Accounting specific experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience with SAGE SoftwareMinimum of 2 years hands-on experience working with general ledgers and journal entriesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent Problem Solving Skills, good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumenAble to multi-task and prioritize work effectivelyExcellent knowledge of MS OfficeJob Type: Full Time (800-500, Mon-Fri)8am to 5pm, Monday - Friday40 hours per week
